He began developing his expertise while working on cases involving American International Group (AIG) including the “ILFC trade secrets case” and the “stock-drop” class action filed during the height of the subprime mortgage crisis. As his expertise developed, he began thinking about how to apply his skills to help people. Additionally, Mr. Mitchell has assisted consumer debtors and homeowners facing foreclosure. Before he was a lawyer, he taught Middle School Science here in Manhattan. Mr. Mitchell received his B.A. in Political Science from Bard College and his J.D. from New York Law School.
